Caring Kids Nominations for 2010
A Golden Paw is awarded here to kids that have worked or raised money to help shelter animals. If you wish to nominate an individual or group, email us with your nomination.
Junior Girl Scout Troop 154 Orland Trailblazers
A Golden Paw goes out to Junior Girl Scout Troop 154 Orland Trailblazers who earned their Bronze Award: Members Eghosa Atoe, Jaimee Bigott, Natalie Campise & Adelina Cesario. They had 2 garage sales and earned $626.00 and bought supplies for TLC with the money earned. They collected all the items and did all the work to raise the money to buy things for the animals.

Amanda & Jessica Windstrup
Amanda (age 6) & Jessica (age 3) set up a lemonade stand and raised $40 for the animals at TLC. These girls have earned a Golden Paw.

A Golden Paw is awarded to Brownie Troop 109 for their quarter collection that they held all year. There were 19 girls aged 6 to 8 that brought quarters to their meetings to raise money for a charity. At the end of the year they decided on which charity to give the money to and they decided on TLC : )

Christmas Carolers
Casey, Elisa, Delaney, Aimee, Emma, Kiya, Ann Marie, Erin, Dana and Jill went Christmas caroling in Mokena and raised $75.00 to help the animals. Not only did they want to rekindle the old tradition of caroling, they also wanted to help our furry friends. What a great way to raise money!
